BCB HP end the tour on a high

BCB HP : 312/6 (dec.) in 90 overs (Shukkur 104*, Maruf 87, Saif Uddin 27; Binks 3/47, Gregory 2/30) NT Invitational XI : 352/7 (dec.) in 90 overs (Dickman 102*, Hackney 97, Doyle 46; Hayder 2/29, Nihaduzzaman 1/32) BCB HP : 229/10 NT Invitational XI : 168/10 Result : BCB HP won by 21 runs. BCB High Performance (HP) team beat NT Invitational XI by 21 runs in the only three day match of the tour at Marrara Cricket Ground, Darwin. Batting first in the first day BCB HP declared their first innings on 312 for 6 in 90 overs. Irfan Shukkur scored unbeaten 104 while Mehedi Maruf was dismissed on 87. With 3 wickets for 47, Jeremy Binks was the most successful bowler for NT XI. In reply NT XI had a decent opening stand of 84 in the first wicket. Nihaduzzaman broke the partnership by dismissing McSweeney on 40. Soon Tanbir Hayder got rid of Gregory on 17. Then Hackney and Dickman added 98 runs in the 3rd wicket. Hayder struck again and picked up the wicket of Hackney on 97. NT XI finished second day on 316 for 3. In the third and final day, NT XI declared their first innings on 352 for 7. BCB HP were bowled out for 229 runs in the 2nd innings with a lead of 189 runs. Chasing 190, NT XI were all out for 168 runs as BCB HP sealed a 21 run victory in the very last over.
