Aminul Islam Becomes 17th President of the Bangladesh Cricket Board

Former Bangladesh captain Md Aminul Islam has been elected as the 17th President of the BCB, following an emergency meeting of the Board held earlier today. The appointment was supported by all attending Directors.
Aminul Islam is a celebrated figure in Bangladesh cricket. He represented the country in 13 Test matches and 39 One Day Internationals. He etched his name into the record books by becoming Bangladesh’s first Test centurion, scoring 145 on debut in the nation’s inaugural Test match against India in November 2000. He captained Bangladesh in the 1999 ICC Cricket World Cup, the country’s first appearance in the tournament.
Following his retirement from international cricket, Aminul Islam has dedicated himself to the development of the sport globally. He has served in key roles with both the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) as a Development Manager, working extensively to grow cricket in emerging nations and enhance infrastructure and grassroots programs.
Nazmul Abedeen named Senior Vice President, Fahim Sinha Vice President
In the same meeting, the Board also elected Nazmul Abedeen Fahim as Senior Vice President and Fahim Sinha as Vice President of the BCB. Nazmul Abedeen is currently the Chairman of the BCB’s Cricket Operations Committee as well as the Women’s Wing Committee. Fahim Sinha is the Chairman of the Board’s Finance Committee and also heads the Game Development Committee and Logistics & Protocol Committee.
